Eagle Eye Tutorial Materials
Looking to practice your eyes and maybe brush up on your feather work? Then look no further! This tutorial will walk you through, in real time, the steps and techniques taken to produce a realistic looking eagle eye study.
Follow the 2 1/2 hour tutorial to hone your skills and techniques. You’ll learn about white feathers, feather texture and a little bit about beaks and the eye cornice.
This eagle eye tutorial is taken directly from my Club Puffin online school. It gives you a little taster as to how I teach and also a delve into the world of coloured pencils if you’re a complete beginner.
You can find the full tutorial over on my YouTube channel (link below). You’ll find an attachment which will give you the full list of materials needed to complete your study.
Because I know colour picking is difficult. If you fancy giving the colour picking a go yourself, then you can use my companion tutorial to help! This covers how to look at tones and areas and identify the correct hue. Which is super handy as this is a sore spot for a lot of my students.
It’s also a good idea to have some coloured pencil swatch cards because these come in handy when trying to identify warm and cool tones.
I’d love it if you could share your final works with me when following this tutorial! Why not Share them on instagram (make sure you give me a tag!) or join my Facebook group and post in the community there: https://www.facebook.com/groups/AmieHowardArtTutorials/
I can’t wait to see what you come up with! I really hope you enjoy this tutorial and take something huge away from it 🙂
