I am a self-taught, professional artist living and working from my home in Hawkinge, Kent. Ever since I can remember, I have always had a pencil, crayon or tube of glitter in my hand and drawn to my hearts content. I studied art and design at GCSE and A-Level but never took my studies any further. In 2012 I picked up my love of art again and started to create hand drawn pet portraits.
I now specialise in creating wildlife portraits with coloured pencil as I find that these allow me to obtain the level of detail and realism which I crave. I have recently started to expand my portfolio with wildlife pieces which really test and expand my skills.
Having come from a world of commissions into teaching and guiding others, I believe I have found my calling in life, relaying my tips and techniques of the coloured pencil medium.
My online school, both on my website and Patreon, are growing in numbers everyday and it is now my love in life to see peoples skills growing under my tuition.
I believe that art is an essential lesson – it helps the creativity and individuality of a person – and while I primarily teach the use of coloured pencils, other mediums often present themselves to my students.
My time is mostly taken up with teaching but I do save spots throughout the year for pet portrait and wildlife commissions. If you would like to discuss a commission, feel free to email me about your requirements.
